The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) is entrusted with the task of regulating and supervising all forms of gambling activities carried on in or from Malta, including both remote gaming activities and land-based casinos. The MGA issues various categories of licences to operators depending on the nature and logic of the proposed activity and periodically audits its licence holders and issues renewal licences upon successful completion.
The regulation spearheaded by the authority is player-centric, having responsible gaming and player protection measures are at the core, yet the requirements imposed on operators are still reasonable and proportionate. Operators licensed by the MGA enjoy a competitive advantage as a result of the robust regulatory framework in force in Malta overseen by the MGA.
