Assistant Manager – Accounting
ARQ Group is a professional services organisation based in Malta, providing a wide range of corporate and advisory services to local and international clients operating within different industry sectors.
The Finance function is responsible to provide all entities within ARQ Group with services related to internal finance. The Finance function manages the Group’s financial planning, forecast cash inflows and outflows, allocate funds, and oversees the financial control across the Group.
The Junior Executive role will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the finance department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail. This role will utilize accounting knowledge, time management skills and effective problem solving.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day to day accounting tasks including invoice and payment processing, bank reconciliations, bank postings, intercompany reconciliations.
- Establishing and maintaining supplier accounts and performing supplier statement reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Maintaining general, sales and purchase ledgers
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Handling finance queries from banks, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Assisting seniors in reporting requirements.
- Maintains a variety of financial information, files and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Performing any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications & Attributes:
- Conversant with standard software packages, proficient in MS Excel and be ready to learn company-specific software if required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work well with a team and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards.
