Senior Regulatory Advisor – Financial Services Unit


ARQ Advisory Limited is the business advisory arm of ARQ Group run by a team of experienced professionals with a sound understanding of both domestic as well as cross-border legal, regulatory, fiscal, and administrative environments.

Our team has a strong track record in the following areas: financial services, remote gaming, investment migration, regulatory compliance, maritime and aviation services, tourism, and real estate. This is a dynamic role that requires an energetic individual who is motivated by a challenging work environment. The selected applicant will be detail oriented, work well in a team, and possess strong interpersonal skills. The Senior Regulatory Advisory will report to the Directors of ARQ Advisory Limited, either directly or through the Head of the Department, as may be directed from time to time.

 

Responsibilities 
  • Liaising with prospective clients, outlining the optimal operational set-up for their requirements, and acting as a regulatory consultant in terms of regulatory changes and demands
  • Following the local and international regulatory compliance scene, monitoring, and reviewing developments within the regulatory environment.
  • Managing licence applications and liaising with clients in relation to application submission documentation including due diligence materials, business plans, policies, procedures, and agreements.
  • Acting as a point of liaison between the licence holder and the regulator, mainly the Malta Financial Services Authority.

 

Qualifications & Attributes
  • At least 3 years’ experience working within the financial services industry.
  • A university degree or equivalent qualification in a related area.
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework underlying the financial services industry, and related structures.
  • Ability to keep abreast with upcoming developments and be quick to adapt and respond to changes within the industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ensure compliance to the regulation is adhered to at all times while embracing a compliance culture.
