Tourist arrivals have seen a steady increase of around 5% year on year, supported by an increase in flight routes and direct links from other cities.

Tourists are motivated to visit Malta for its agreeable climate, history, culture and local hospitality.  The islands offer a plethora of cultural, leisure, sporting and lifestyle activities that contribute to positioning Malta as a leading Mediterranean destination for both leisure and business visitors all year round.
