ARQ expands its Financial Services & FinTech Unit

Financial services is becoming an ever more complex sector with tight regulatory regimes. Today, companies are looking for advisors with multi-jurisdictional approaches, regulatory knowledge and the ability to provide technology solutions that support compliance & regulatory requirements.

At ARQ, we take a holistic approach towards financial services through integrated teams that include skill-sets drawn from the legal profession along with other skill-sets and approaches emanating from other ARQ divisions of accountants, economists and other management consultancy personnel. ARQ has a long-term relationship with full-service law firm, Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal (FFF). This has allowed the ARQ Group to go beyond a purely advisory role and to accept office – or assist clients with the recruitment of professionals to accept office – for directorship, secretarial and compliance posts with licensed entities, as required.

Daniel Attard has been appointed as the Senior Manager of ARQ’s Financial Services & FinTech Unit.  Daniel is a B.Com Honours graduate and has completed post-graduate studies in business administration at Edinburgh Business School and Heriott-Watt University.  Daniel has several years’ experience within the banking, financial institutions, and securities sectors with experience in both the private and public sector.  To this day, Daniel forms part of the Authorizations division within the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) where he leads a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the licensing and maintenance of Credit and Financial Institutions.  He also has international experience as a regular participant of the European Central Bank (ECB) – Authorizations Network Group.  He was also appointed a Technical Expert on the ECB Fit and Proper (FAP) policy stances.
