ARQ’s team have attended and participated in two Risk & Compliance events over the past two weeks;

GIG’S Annual Employee Conference

One of which was  the 5 year company anniversary event “GiGsters Connect”, organized by Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) on the 7th March,2018. The Legendary Silicon Valley tech wizard Steve ‘Woz’  Wozniak was welcomed by a cheering crowd while whizzing into the InterContinental Arena in Malta on a Segway.

Manfred Galdes, who heads ARQ Risk & Compliance, addressed the audience earlier on that afternoon, stressing the benefits of being compliant and advocating a culture of compliance within the organisation.

The audience included 650 GiG employees (“GiGsters”) from Malta, Norway, Spain and Denmark as well as over 500 external guests who were given a free ticket by GiG: UoM, MCAST and Middlesex University students and professors, members of the Maltese tech community and high profile guests.

The Malta Financial Crime Compliance Forum – 15th March, Westin Dragonara Resort, Malta

ARQ partnered up with Accuity bringing  the Financial Crime Compliance Forum 2018 – Raising the Bar for Compliance in Malta. The event too place at the Westin Dragonara Resort, Malta on the 15th March. Christian Farrugia, Director for ARQ Corporate also took part as one of the panellists in the first Panel, headed by Pat Hitchin, they discussed the Power of Collaboration, working across sectors to tackle Financial Crime and Compliance.
