An economist by profession, JP Fabri is currently the Director for Regulatory & Advisory at ARQ, a professional services firm in Malta. He is responsible for the Financial Services & FinTech Unit together with the Economic & Business Intelligence Units of the Firm. He is also the Managing Consultant of FIPRA (Malta), a specialised government affairs consultancy network present in 50 countries. He currently is also a FinTech Technical Expert with The Commonwealth Secretariat.
JP has amassed local and international experience both in the private and public sector. Prior to joining ARQ, JP formed part of the private cabinet of the former Prime Minister of Malta and Governor of the Central Bank of Malta. He also has international policy advisory experience after having advised 9 governments on economic development. He was also appointed a Technical Expert of The Commonwealth Secretariat for good governance and economic development. In the private sector, he occupied a senior management position with a London-listed global mining company.
JP followed post-graduate studies in economics and political economy at the University of Malta and the London School of Economics. He is also a certified blockchain strategy advisor from Said Business School, Oxford University and holds an International Certificate in Investor Relations from the Investor Relations Society in the United Kingdom. JP is a visiting lecturer in economics, blockchain and public policy at the University of Malta. JP also sits on the Financial Services Committee of The Malta Chamber of Commerce & Industry and is a Director at DISCERN, an Institute for research on the Signs of the Times.
