Employment in Malta requires the observation of a number of regulations. ARQ’s dedicated payroll team provides a full scope of services ranging from application for a PE (Employment) number to subsequent processing and filing of both monthly and annual reporting to IRD, the employer and the employees. Leave and sick leave recording are also available and further support is provided by ARQ’s in-house HR team which can provide advice on a number of HR related issues. Assistance is also provided to employees who may require a work/residency permit as well as registration with the competent authorities including attaining unique tax and National Insurance identification codes. ARQ can also assist and advise individuals on temporary placements who may wish to continue having their NI paid in the country of normal residency.
