MFSA launches Consultation Document focusing on specific new areas of the proposed updated Rules for Company Service Providers
The Malta Financial Services Authority has just launched a Consultation Document focusing on specific new areas of the proposed updated Rules for Company Service Providers. The updates follow the amendments made to the Company Service Providers Act, which was passed by Parliament and published on 13 November 2020. The Act is expected to be brought into force through a legal notice in the coming months and will introduce categorisation of company service providers into classes depending on the services offered. The updated Rulebook would require persons, who are currently exempt from obtaining authorisation under the Act, to submit applications to be authorised under the Act within a two-month deadline.
The Consultation Document can be accessed from: https://www.mfsa.mt/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Consultation-Document-on-the-Updated-CSP-Rules.pdf
